“And the intention is to be very conscious of where we came from in the first movie and where we’re heading in the third. So I’ve been working on a running outline for sometime and I know we’re going to get to the point where Cressida Cowell books start which is Hiccup, as an adult, looking back on his life and saying ‘There were dragons when I was a boy.’ There’s something really powerful and emotional about that that hits you in the gut. And I think it could be bittersweet and beautiful. But how they disappear? What happened and what leads them to that point? That’s the stuff of the third movie. We’re always very conscious to make sure the threads we’re pulling forward are from the first film and paying off in the second are also embedding storylines for the third.”

Well just this past Thursday I presented the outline for the film and I’m gonna take a two week break, but after that I’ll be working on the screenplay and hopefully turning the first draft in by the end of the year. So all is going well. It continues to be the third act of this trilogy and we get to see Hiccup’s coming of age come to a completion. I’m also playing with the idea of what happened to the dragons and why they are no more, as suggested by Cressida Cowell’s books. So the whole mystery of where did they go? Did they come back? What transpired? I think it’s all compelling stuff and it’s definitely a story that’s gonna have a lot more Toothless emphasis in it. We continue to get more insight into the dragon world and shed light on their intelligence and all the aspects that we’ve been slowly cooking over the last two films.

Conversely, though, this story seems to put us in a position where the conflicts for a third film are fairly apparent at the end of the second film.
Having read Cressida Cowell’s first book, the element that were most compelling to me were the opening lines. It was Hiccup, as an adult, reflecting back on a time when there were dragons. Just by concept there’s something really compelling and emotionally powerful to the idea that this trilogy will complete with the dragons somehow going away, why they went away, and what the mystery is that surrounds that. Could the come back? Who caused it? What transpired? All of that is very compelling to me.
I didn’t know you felt so committed to that.
I love it. I think there’s something bittersweet and powerful about it. I think my job is all about how I should deliver that story in a way that is palatable and right.

How To Train Your Dragon 3: The BIGGEST Spoiler is Yet To Come!
If you are unfamiliar with the How To train Your Dragon books, and don't want to know how it will all turn out for Hiccup, Toothless, and the rest of the Vikings and Dragons of Berk, then now is probably the right time to stop reading.
However, if you want to know How to Train Your Dragon 3's biggest secret, then brace yourself!
Ready?
Where are the dragons going in HTTYD 3? Where are the dragons going in HTTYD 3?
All the dragons will die. Every one of them!
Or, at least, they will disappear. The very first lines of the first book read:
There were Dragons when I was a boy
By this time, Hiccup is an old man reflecting back on his life, and his adventures with Dragons. The big question then is: why did they go? Was there a force big enough to kill every single dragon? Did sharing a village with dragons becomes too difficult? Or did they simply decide to travel elsewhere?

Now that the release date for the third movie is confirmed, what can fans expect from "How to Train Your Dragon 3" come June of 2017? Well, there's Hiccup leading the Vikings as chief of Berk and, of course, there's Toothless who will be seeking adventures alongside Hiccup. But there's always the evil forces that will try to kill the dragons or put their existence at risk.
Those who read the books probably have a good idea what the plot for the third movie will be. On the other hand, for those who prefer watching the movies, this is a major spoiler that they may want or not want to know about.
In "How to Train Your Dragon 3," all dragons will cease to exist. Each and every dragon will die or, according to Movie Pilot, "at least, they will disappear."
In the book, the first line reads: "There were Dragons when I was a boy."
The narration is done by Hiccup when he becomes an old man. He is reflecting on his life as well as his adventures with Toothless and the other dragons.
Well, this doesn't mean that all the dragons will be killed by the evil forces, but there's always the possibility of that happening. Other possible reasons could be that the dragons will choose to migrate to some other place. But that's doubtful because seeing the Vikings and the Dragons live together in peace and harmony will be the ending that fans of the book and movies would want to see.

During an interview with , DeBlois explained that for the past two and a half years, he had been answering countless of questions and pitching in-progress outlines to the executives and higher ups -- all in the name of finally finishing the storyline for the final film of the franchise.
"Well, they're still being nailed down," he admitted in the end, though he said some of the specifics have been finally put to paper.
DeBlois then said that the movie will be opening up five years later where the movie's hero Hiccup is "at a different rite of passage."
Hiccup had been named the village chief after his father Stoic's passing in the previous film and has to struggle with feelings of inadequacy after taking over. He also has to face the fact that the dragons have all disappeared, including his own dragon Toothless.
"There's something really compelling and emotionally powerful to the idea that this trilogy will complete with the dragons somehow going away," the director said. "I think there's something bittersweet and powerful about it."
"How to Train Your Dragon 3" is the third and final film in the "How to Train Your Dragon" franchise, which is based on the book series of the same name by authoress Cressida Cowell.
Ah oui ?
On en aurait déjà entendu parler sinon. :/

J'en sais rien, mais la pierre... Bon après ça peut être repris mais bon... :/
